For a well-functioning organization, you need well-run teams. It’s as simple as that. But it’s not simple to put into practice. As an executive, you know how challenging it is to manage a team effectively. Strong teams, that run well and feel connected to the collective purpose, don’t “just happen.”
What makes managing teams so challenging? Why do so many leaders and their teams end up in a vicious cycle? Why do processes, structures, goals, and behaviors sometimes seem to work against each other, instead of reinforcing each other?
There can be a variety of reasons for this. However, that does not take away from the fact that it is possible to name issues that occur regularly and indicate that a team is functioning sub-optimally, such as:
With team coaching, you can effectively address these issues and get your team’s energy flowing (again) in the desired direction
If you struggle to break a vicious circle or make lasting changes, I can help you further with coaching for teams. As a team coach, I am the outsider who observes and names what the team itself cannot see and articulate anymore.
From my independent position, I can put my finger on sore spots, creating a safe setting for the team members. In this way, they become (more) aware of their behavior and its effect on others, and real contact is made through mutual understanding.
From there, it becomes possible to change behavior, permanently improve collaboration, get everyone on the same page, and enhance processes sustainably.
You can achieve so much more together than you had thought possible if you pay real attention to each other. You must really want to know what motivates or bothers the other person, be willing to work on yourself, and realize that two steps forward and one step back may be necessary.
This is how you move forward together, step by step. Yes, with trial and error. But you help each other up again and keep going, with the common goal in mind. Because the team is aligned. The team members are “in alignment.”

To achieve that shared success, I have been using the Team Alignment Method™ for many years. This proven method consists of 6 steps.
Who is on your team, and which people are directly involved? What works, what doesn’t, and what qualities are needed where?
Define the intended outcome and establish clear, realistic, and measurable KPIs.
Mutual understanding of the hows and whys of different personalities and cultures creates room for change.
Train your team using communication alignment (inform, engage, position, activate, motivate, and facilitate).
Get everyone on the same page by clearly defining the process and clarifying the role of each team member.
Implement, monitor progress, and achieve milestones. Fine-tune your team’s alignment and achieve sustainable growth.
Why does using this method properly lead to these results? Because my approach is holistic: we look at the big picture. At each step, we also take into account the body, mind, and emotions. Not in a woolly way, but very practical. To illustrate that, I elaborate on the above points below.

“Alone you go faster, together you get further” is a well-known tile wisdom that ignores the unruly practice.
Because what do you do when there is gossip? If the results are consistently lagging? Or if certain issues remain unaddressed because no one picks them up??
We examine exactly what you want to achieve, what the team’s strengths are, and how to give them more space (steps 1 and 2). We also look at the how and why of certain behaviors and how they can be transformed (step 3).
Greater mutual understanding creates room to experiment, allowing you to discover with an open mind what works best for you and for the team. People change their behavior where necessary and start working together better (step 4).
Strategic alignment ensures all team members are aligned because a good strategic planning process clarifies:
I help you and your team flesh out this process and translate it into practice (steps 2, 5, and 6).
People who feel good about themselves and have logical work processes constitute the beating heart of your organization.
But what do you do when there are backlogs due to busyness or illness? When processes are cumbersome? Or if extra work is regularly needed because a product or service does not meet (internal?
We analyze together where the pain points are in your processes and how best to address them (steps 5 and 6).

Since 2012, I have been an independent entrepreneur and coach and I support companies in transition, both on a consultancy and interim basis, in the field of leadership, team and organizational development and change management. I also guide companies in cultural transformation processes and am a strategic advisor and facilitator for organizations that strive for positive social change.
My coaching practice is based on almost 20 years of leadership experience in various sectors. From Fortune 500 companies, agencies and start-ups to non-profit organizations in Europe, Asia, North America, America and Africa. This allows me to empathize with the demanding work of managers and teams.
My approach can be summarized as “down to earth”. Practical, realistic and strategic, but also intuitive and insightful. Without fuss and with a well-developed sense of the interventions needed to bring people and processes to a higher level
needed someone to help me refocus the top priorities for my leadership team and department, and Eefke was exactly the guide we needed. She led us through a well-structured process that enabled us to identify a clear and concise list of focus areas. Eefke then supported us in cascading this list down to all team members, ensuring that everyone was aligned with the detailed action plans for each priority. Thanks to her expertise, we were able to bring the entire team on board and make it happen.
Eefke has been an incredibly engaging coach, playing a pivotal role in helping me elevate my team’s performance to new heights. Through her insightful guidance, she has worked with me to refine my leadership style, creating a more engaged and motivated workplace culture. Eefke’s commitment to her clients is unmatched—she is genuinely invested in their success, providing authentic support that drives them to achieve exceptional results and reach their full potential
Eefke helped us build a framework to grow as a team and business. She was a master at dealing with the different personalities in our team and adjusting the process and exercises when needed. She has a keen insight into the human aspects and provides effective and constructive solutions. Eefke knows how to get to the core quickly, whether it is personal, situational or a business issue. She really unleash the potential of your team. We have set up a structure that supports my leadership style, the culture of my company. We have tailormade a structure that makes it possible to get the best out of everyone. Eefke is disarming, and by asking the right questions, knows how to make people see their full potential. At management level, Eefke is someone who knows how to inspire and motivate. Using her innate and boundless energy, she gathers people around her and binds them to her. She is honest and quick-thinking. Her great sense of humor not only breaks thick packs of ice, but also puts things into perspective. She has a sharp and pure vision and knows how to present it in a professional and original way. Eefke has been a big help for our team and our organization.
At the end of 2022, we asked Eefke to help guide us with a development program for a large group of our employees in our Manufacturing organization. We recognized the need to change, as a lot of energy and attention was paid to “the process,” while the “I” and the “we” factor were, in our eyes, insufficiently highlighted and underdeveloped. Here, too, a culture change was necessary. After several constructive discussions, Eefke helped us design and implement an effective development program in which we focused on the personal development of management, middle management, and numerous specialists (+/- 75FTE). After a competency-based assessment linked to clearly defined desired behavior, we started training and coaching in groups, and at the individual level to improve and strengthen competencies. This entire process of design, development, assessment, training and personal coaching was arranged and supervised by Eefke, like a spider masterfully pulling all the threads of a web. I have come to know Eefke as a professional who intimately understands the intricacies of her chosen career. Because of her knowledge and experience, Eefke has become a vital resource for the board and management, and her experience as a coach means she has been a great motivator for all employees. Working with Eefke has helped our production and distribution organization get moving again, and it is fantastic to see talent develop. What is striking about Eefke is her direct, down-to-earth and pleasant way of communicating. She is decisive in her actions, gets to the core of issues, and is able to find pragmatic and effective solutions. With an acute business acumen and a very people-oriented attitude, she shifts gears quickly while maintaining quality. Eefke does not walk the standard path and sees opportunities and solutions that others do not see, giving beautiful and unexpected results.
Eefke gets my highest recommendation as a mentor and a coach. My recommendation comes from the fact that her inputs have been extremely and uniquely valuable to me. Her ability to understand, recognise and provide insightful yet practical suggestions have proved extremely beneficial and have helped me gain a new perspective into my thinking and actions. Eefke showed expertise, emotional intelligence, cheerful connection oriented approach and honesty in sharing her views. Thank you, Eefke!
Eefke has been an invaluable support in our workplace, making a significant impact both on a personal level and across our entire organization. She has consistently delivered structured and ongoing training sessions, thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of our teams. Personally, Eefke has guided me in recognizing behaviors, patterns, and solutions that I might never have uncovered on my own. Her expertise, insight, and dedication are truly remarkable, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking meaningful growth and transformation..
